'We had the best time during our short stay. The house was amazing with a view that can’t be beat. Patrick, the property manager, was the best! From meeting us to show us the way our first day to lining up all of our excursions, he made our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back for a longer stay the next time.'

'This was a great place to stay! It was just like it looked in the pictures. It is in a great central location for Monteverde. I was happy with everything that came with this property. The bed was comfortable, a full kitchen, a nice bathroom and shower, and enough seating for this size of place. I really liked all the windows, but extremely private at the same time.'

'The host made sure we felt welcome and comfortable.'

'Jose was a very welcoming host and great communicator throughout the booking process and our stay at his beautiful property. Words cannot describe and pictures can't capture the amazing views from this home. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but restaurants and markets were nearby. We booked a short stay to visit Monteverde Cloud Forest, but wish we had an extra night to explore and enjoy the area around this property. The compact size was perfect for us as a couple and offered...

'Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. I would have appreciated extra towels, they take so long to dry that we were drying with damp towels the second day. . A full length mirror somewhere in the house would have been nice. I was unfamiliar with the coffeemaker, I think an electric coffeemaker would have been better. The house did have a musty smell but I think that was due to the location. Really rough winding roads leading up to house, but again that’s the location. All in all I felt...

'This property was clean and well-appointed. It was very rainy while we were there, so we only got a short glimpse of the view one morning, but it was beautiful! Lots of birds to watch and since the house is up on the hill it is a bumpy ride to get there but worth it for the privacy and view. We enjoyed being able to come back to this home after our adventures in Monteverde.'

'Good place for staying in Monteverde, the owners are really nice, the place is super cool, has an amazing jacuzzi perfect for the weather, and the house is big two rooms with two baths! Don’t hesitate more and rent immediately, you will never regret. Kindly regards. CR'

'The property was in a nice family neighborhood, with friendly helpful neighbors, and a gorgeous view that was accurate as shown in the photos. We loved El Castillo overall. The host advertised this via Expedia as "Entire place - You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party" and that is what I expected we were reserving and paying for. We got there and found it was 2 separate studio rentals on levels 1 and 2 of the house. The landlady was nice...

'Great place to stay for a week. It might not be the Ritz hotel but if you have a large group you won't find better value on lodging anywhere. The rooms are built fairly critter repelling, but the first night a little green frog got in. I don't mind frogs though, it's Costa Rica after all! Pura Vida!'
