The property is gorgeous! The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. I did not tell them that we were celebrating a birthday as we checked out on my boyfriends birthday and they were still so kind as to decorate the room the day prior to check out! I would return and recommend the property to friends/family.

We stayed at Orchid Beach House for our entire trip. Is it a 5-star place? Maybe not—but it’s a charming, rustic hotel that could use a bit of love. Some of the wood needs replacing, and we did notice quite a few ants on our patio because of the wood step for the pool. We stayed in the Vanilla Suite and really appreciated having our own standalone space within the property, complete with a private rooftop patio and pool. The pool doesn’t have a filtration system and is a bit more worn than what’s shown in the photos, but we were still happy to have it especially since we visited during peak sargassum season, when the ocean wasn’t always ideal for a swim. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The staff made us feel right at home, which made a big difference. The food and cocktails were delicious and more affordable than most places nearby. Breakfast was on the lighter, healthier side, though it could offer a bit more variety. I would give it a 9/10 for the atmosphere alone: quiet, peaceful, and intimate. It didn’t even feel like we were in a busy area.

I looked at SO many places to stay in Tulum, and was happy to find this property. It is a small hotel with exceptional staff. We were looking for a "budget" option to stay on the beach, that still offered comfortable accommodations. This does not have all the amenities of some of the larger resorts nearby; but the room was clean, the food was good, and we were happy to have a few days near the beach.

Excellent ocean view from my room. This is a boutique hotel with only nine rooms. It feels isolated but, it's not. The hotel has a rustic jungle decor.

We had an amazing stay at Orchid House Tulum Beach. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and super comfortable. The location is perfect — right on the beach and walkable to great restaurants and beach clubs. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making everything easy from check-in to checkout. The vibe is relaxed but upscale. We would absolutely stay here again.

The room was great. The staff and food was great. The food was better than most of the restaurants we visited. I would definitely stay here again. It is a nice and quiet place. There was no loud music or crowds. I only have two complaints. The room was advertised to have a TV and a coffee maker. Neither of these are in the room.

Had a great couple of days. The staff was very nice. Quiet location, which I knew and appreciated. The beach had seaweed, but that’s the case along the entire Tulum coast. Breakfast was perfect, and lunch is available if you want it—and it’s very good too. They had balloons for my birthday in the room which was super sweet! Appreciated the AC in the room. Felt very safe and clean.

It’s on the beach and was at times quiet bliss. pros- * on the beach * Very nice people Cons * next to one of the absolute loudest techno clubs around, 24hr techno * Food is not nearby * Activities are not close * Run down area compared to other areas * Tents next to the hotel * Noise from the beach clubs can be heard in the room all hours of the day Room - not as listed * King size bed - extremely hard and uncomfortable after a night or two * Minimal storage space, no drawers, just a closet with shelves. * No designated eating area in room * No robes as indicated on the website or Expedia * Plunge pool - non working, dirty, stained, lots of ants * Tv with Netflix - no TV, no Netflix * Beach view - well kinda, not really. If you stood to the far right of the front door, you could see the ocean through the walkway between the kitchen and bar * Toilet - the lid didn’t fit and slid off every time you went to sit. * Free breakfast- same every day, yogurt, toast, fruit, juice and coffee. * Onsite food - asked for a breakfast burrito they didn’t have any tortillas. What a stay we had at Orchid House! The service was outstanding from start tto finish. The hotel reached out early to see if we had anything special we wanted to do, and upon learning it was my husband's 60th birthday, they put together an amazing romantic dinner for us in their "Next" with such great food and ambiance. They room was amazing with a beautiful views of the ocean from the room and our private rooftop balcony with little pool. Seriously a gem. Beach access, where we didn't wear shoes at all one day! Tasty breakfast, and drinks made with fresh fruit juice prepared every day. Loved the staff, and the room, and will definitely stay again upon our return.

The photos look so unlike the actual room. Staff was very sweet and attentive but the room smelled like mildew/ mold. The sheets came with stains and the shower sink, bathroom, floors were very dirty. The included breakfast was very minimal (toast, yougurt, and fruit ) not even eggs or basic breakfast food. The parking was very difficult to get into & out from. There was some cobwebs on the corners of the room and the fan looked like it needed a good clean. I did like how the beach was steps from the room and very nice staff. Would not recommend if your priority is cleanliness.

The staff was highly attentive, the food was great, the room was an incredible value. We had our own rooftop deck and plunge pool. The bed was extremely comfortable and felt very high end. We will be back.

The staff, location, and the view from our room were top notch. We had some issues with the private pool, the lock, and our hot water heater. All were taken care of in a timely manner.

Worst experience ever. Do not recommend at all. This is not even a 1-star property. 1. Non-Functional Toilet and Poor Bathroom Setup: On our 1st night, the toilet in our room did not flush. Instead of fixing it immediately or offering another room, we were handed a toilet plunger and told it could only be repaired the next day. Washrooms not only lack an exhaust fan but also a wash basin. We had to leave the washroom and go across the room to wash our hands which is entirely impractical and unsanitary. 2. Lack of Basic Amenities: No dental kit was provided, which is kind of a standard in 5-star properties. 3. Misrepresentation of “Complimentary Continental Breakfast”: The complimentary breakfast provided was extremely poor and misleading. We were served only 2 slices of bread with jam, a few pieces of fruit, yogurt with granola, juice, and tea. The portion size given for two people was not enough even for one person. 4. Major Maintenance Issue and Flooding On the 2nd day morning the toilet again stopped functioning. When maintenance arrived to repair it, they broke a pipe, causing our entire room to be flooded with water. They did not care that our suitcases were lying there and would be ruined until we removed them ourselves. We were then forced to use the public restroom, only to discover there was no water supply in the whole property. The whole ordeal took more than 2 hours, where we had to leave the property unbathed and late, forcing us to miss our planned activities.
