'Great location and the rooms were nice, great welcome. The hostal is on the 2nd floor, they should put a sign for that somewhere as you come in. We had a comfortable quiet room with en suite bathroom. The receptionist was really friendly and fast, when I asked for extra pillows. Great service! 'A little outdated and worn, but still a fantastic five star hotel in terms of amenities, service and ambience, all very much in the old-style luxury model. A great way to pamper yourself, especially if you book their Red Level accommodation. In the Salamanca district, right next to Plaza Colón, taxi's in front of the door, footsteps away from public transport and walking distance from Retiro, El Prado and other sights. The personnel could not be more professional and helpful. Very recommendable.'
