'I spoke to the hotel on the phone, during the day I was going to check in, as I had not received the check in codes to enter the hotel. There is no one at reception after 5pm. They promised to send it to me. They only sent the link to pay for parking and NOT the entry codes. I tried to call during my 3 hour journey to Cardiff, but could not get hold of anyone. No ansver on the emergency line. I had informed them that I would arrive at 23:00 as they had requested, and I confirmed that they had...

'It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay.'

'I'm sure I could have given 5 stars for everything had we been able to stay. Never received check-in information and Stayright couldn't confirm our booking even though I emailed receipts of payment and booking details from Wotif. Said problem had something to do with booking through Wotif. Took 3 hours to reach a solution which in the end was finding us another property to stay in. That part we were extremely grateful for, but the whole process was extremely stressful.'
