'Our room at the Deri-Down was lovely and comfortable with a large walk-in wardrobe and a modern well equipped en-suite shower room. There was a multi-channel TV, a small fridge with milk, tea/cofffee provided. The landlady was very helpful and allowed my son and his wife to change in our room for the wedding we were all going to. Our continental breakfast was well stocked with plenty choice of cereals, yoghourt, fruit etc. We passed on the full Welsh cooked breakfast that looked amazing. The off...

'To my surprise was the only guest during my stay. The hosts were kind and considerate. The room is small but tidy and in well maintained condition. Separate shower which is a bit basic but sufficient, the bathroom is en suite though. There is also a drawing room which you share with a lodger, a bit old fashioned but still nice. Breakfast gives you a choice between continental and full English breakfast in a very nice room. '

'Lovely comfortable stay with excellent facilities inc full use of a kitchen. Very friendly and accommodating host. Great location near park/ river/ castle. Parking busy but not difficult. Will return if in area.'

'Take care about what type of room you book! They don't make this clear on their website, but... We booked two rooms for quite some money and when we arrived it turned out that we had to share a bathroom with the whole floor! by the way, this bathroom had a carpet?! Very nasty if many people use the shower in one morning... Rooms are small and windows can not open. which makes the place smell like grandmothers attic...'

'It was a lovely stay, just one night before a day at bike park wales. I was told to leave the bike in the hall way and it was fine there. Parking was tight with a bike rack on so i dropped it to get the car over as far as i could. The room was beautifully decorated, bed comfy, shower amazing and the whole place was quiet. '

Niets is te veel moeite en, tegen bijbetaling, kregen we een exceptioneel goed ontbijt. Het bed sliep erg lekker, al hadden we (met de ramen open) nogal wat verkeerslawaai in de kamer'

' A beautiful property, lots of charm. A large room with lovely little details. A nice street in Chepstow too. Lots of amenities & extras, very helpful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. My only complaint is that I found the mattress was uncomfortable, I could feel the springs in places. '
