'We've been a few times now. All staff are very helpful. Especially lad on desk. Breakfast very nice. Beautiful spot.'

'The only thing that was acceptable about the Iris Hotel is that desk staff were polite. The carpets and other surfaces were visibly dirty. Looks like the hotel had not been cleaned in months perhaps years. The sheets on the beds appeared clean but were well used. There was mold growing in the shower and a crack in the sink. The windows were sealed shut and there were water stains on the ceiling. I had booked 4 nights at the Iris but 1 night was enough and on the morning of May 29 I checked out...

'When you pull up outside, the weeds and broken plant pots are a little off putting but inside is clean, rooms spacious, plenty of hot water, very comfortable bed. Also plenty of parking and although we couldn’t check in until 3, we could park in the morning which was really helpful. Staff lovely. The property could use a gardener and some TLC but you can look past that for a nice comfortable clean room with good parking.'

'Fun stay right on the promenade. The room was clean and cozy. Great for 2 people for a night or two but probably a bit small for a longer visit. Friendly staff.'
