'Just a couple miles from campus, great locale for a family stay. Bonus chocolate pretzels upon arrival appreciated. Very great communication from hosts. It is an older cottage w quirks of an older house w original bathroom w no mirror, steep staircase to basement off the kitchen, small TV, but great for playing some games and close place to sleep/shower.'

'Excellent lakefront property, We were greeted with beautiful views of the lake as well as a bottle of wine, welcome card and a crackers and cheese plate. The kitchen has everything you could need and more. So many supplies, spices, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable and the hot tub was amazing. We stayed here for college visit to UConn, which was so close. We all had an excellent relaxing time and hope to retune again soon!!'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This cottage perfect for two people. The location has all the amenities you could ask for. Climbing up and down the 43 steps to cottage can be tiring especially for the elderly. There is Liquer store very close buy and grocery store within 5 miles. I must say that prices there very high, but in no way does that reflect on owner. We certainly are looking forward to coming back for another stay.'

'what wonderful time away we had at the little dipper cottage. we picked it because we wanted a totally different nature experience than what we live in. (8300 feet in the Rocky Mountains) The lake, the cottage, the toys to take out on the lake, and the welcoming feeling of the whole place was outstanding. 'The house worked out great as an alternative to getting several hotel rooms, allowing the family to all be together during graduation weekend. The lake view was beautiful, and wish we could have taken advantage of it more, but didn't have the time. Would definitely return if back in the area.'

'We stayed at the property for a weekend family gathering to celebrate the UConn graduation of our daughter. The property was comfortable and inviting with lots of space for all family members to gather together but also privacy when needed. The beds and linens were very comfortable as well as the overall decor and layout of the space. It was very nice to wake up with the sounds and view of the lake. We were able to bring our dog and walk the area around the property with her. We had a great time...

'Location has the potential to be great but it is run down and needs A LOT of work. From first walking in, refrigerator was so dirty/dusty you could run your finger down it and have a film on your hand. Wood flooring in kitchen area is warped because of an obvious leak in the ceiling. Ceiling in the kitchen has brown water stains in the ceiling, floor tiles in the upstairs bathroom are cracked, ants kept coming in from outside, food left in the fridge and trash was left in and on the garbage can,...

On the rare occasion that he couldn't respond immediately, he took the time to provide an explanation and offer his apologies.
