'I was looking by for a quiet place to get away for the 4th of July weekend with my toddler and two dogs, and this place was perfect! Nice, clean and quiet. The hot tub was nice too! I will say, if you’re bringing dogs like I did, bring a tether of some kind, it’s not a fenced in yard. I think that’s fairly obvious from the pics but just an FYI, there’s a road right above and also several kitties roaming around the neighboring properties, so I kept my dogs on a tether even though I was out there...

'We shot an independent film in and around this amazing home over the course of two weeks and it was both a stunning location for our film and an incredible place to be for that time. The river rushing outside, the morning light through the trees, stars above at night...spectacular! Our hosts were so responsive to our needs and the 'Canary Lodge' was an absurdly cozy place to stay. I would love to come back for a vacation or writing retreat some time in the future!'

'Out of all of the vacation rentals I’ve stayed at, this one might have been my favorite. First, the house is beautiful, and unbelievably well thought out. The attention to detail was incredible, and some small things such as everything in the kitchen being labeled made it super easy to feel right at home. Additionally, the outside space was incredible. Our dog loved exploring the full 5 acres! Overall, absolutely loved my stay and would return in a heartbeat!'
