'The staff are excellent from the Bell hop to the Concierge! We were there for a special occasion and recieved a very nice bottle of wine to enjoy in our room. Also at the Bar while waiting for our room to be ready I ordered a couple scotch on the rocks and in conversation with the bartender mentioned it was our 47th anniversary with that he gave us a very nice pour! We enjoyed our stay and highly recomend the Monterey Plaza to all!'

'We had a room on the 8th floor which was spacious and clean. We did have some airco noise and weird knocking noise from the elevator shaft (we think) which was annoying at night. Pool was nice and location was good for watersports and running. Restaurant has great staff but menu is limited. The gym was crowded in the morning but really quiet in afternoon.'

'The room was super old and filthy . The carpet was so dirty and stained . The table has the legs chewed up . It’s a friendly dog place but the room looked like that’s where they house all the dog visitors . It was so run down air conditioner kept turning off and on . I’ve stayed there before and didn’t get this old beat up room . Not sure if it’s because I booked with Expedia versus reservation straight through Lakehoise'

'We chose this hotel expecting a relaxing getaway, but unfortunately our stay was disappointing. Upon arrival, we found waste left in the refrigerator from previous guests. Our room was also missing large bath towels, and we were woken up at 5:00 AM by an alarm that had been left set by a previous guest. The biggest issue was the noise.
