Strandhotels in Western Lake District

'Sterk verouderd hotel. Daar is de prijs ook naar. Prima ontbijt en ideale locatie aan het strand en op 15 minuten rijden van de mooie wegen in Lake District. Bar en eten was top! Toilet bediening werkte niet erg goed. In het hotel hing een wat muffe lucht.'

'Een zeer charmant hotel in typische UK-stijl. Alles was top! Ik kan dit hotel zeker aanbevelen. Ook een ideaal hotel voor mensen die hun hond graag mee op vakantie nemen. En een ideale plaats als vertrekpunt voor tal van wandelingen. Enige minpuntje is dat er geen airco op de kamer is. Maar dat is in de meeste manors niet te vinden. 😉 Dus enkel bij zeer tropische temperaturen zou ik een andere locatie zoeken. '

'If you stay here, just know that it’s an older space, but it’s also beautiful. They have a great area to gather and games to play. The property has a proper garden area with lots of places to sit. We would absolutely go back.'

'We had a lovely one night stay. We were warmly greeted and our room was spacious, up quite a few stairs so beware if you have heavy cases. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and used the hot tub. A well equipped gym was also available. The pool was very clean and a pleasant temperature. These facilities were all included in the room price but there is a limited timetable when you can use the pool due to lesson and member sessions. We ate dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and well presented....

'The Royal Oak is in a stunning location and there has clearly been a lot of investment in upgrading the facilities and decor. This has resulted in very stylish, thoughtfully designed, high quality accommodation. The room & bathroom were gorgeous with good storage, a very comfortable bed and good quality fabrics, linen & towels. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
