'Positives were the quiet and convenient location, big fluffy towels, modern kitchen, renovated bathrooms, and comfortable bed. There were many negatives including shower and tub drains that had water coming up them during a heavy downpour. The drain smell was sickening. The carpets need cleaning. Upon arrival it was evident the carpets had not been vacuumed so I did only to discover the machine dust bag was full. It smelled of dog. 'Clean tidy great location would stay again'

'Unfortunately it was a cold and wet day when we arrived. After climbing a very narrow winding staircase to our apartment - some 40 or so steps - it was disappointing to find that the rooms were very cold as no heating had been switched on in anticipation of our arrival. After switching on the underfloor heating it did begin to warm up, but to add to the frustration this did not appear to work in the main bedroom or the ‘en suite’. A free standing electric heater was provided but wasn’t easy...

'We booked a short break to Whitby but when we got there we could not get into the property or contact the host. We ended up with no where to stay. It was a nightmare, and although we were refunded our money, I feel we are due some compensation for a wasted journey and spoiled weekend '

'Nice little apartment up a narrow street in a great central location in Whitby.The property was clean & tidy but there was food left in the fridge from a previous occupant. I reported this to the manager to ensure that the cleaning team would check in future. 'Great communication from the host.The apartment was warm and welcoming and well equipped. The bed was so comfortable and there were additional pillows for different needs if required. It was lovely having a firm sofa to relax on, after a long day walking or visiting the myriad of pubs and bars nearby. The table and chairs were great too, so we could eat comfortably. '
