'When we got to our room, it was extremely warm. We contacted the office and they put a new air-conditioning unit in our room. The maintenance/ housekeeping were very helpful in all our needs. The pool was nice and clean. Only offensive downfall was many tenants smoked marijuana and the smell was very strong to have children around. The breakfast bar needs more food besides cereal. But other than that, our stay was pleasant. '

'Convenient to my organized bicycling tour end 4/26 at Hampton Inn Elizabeth City (other hotels in the area were fully booked). 'Beds are ok, rooms definitely need upgrade. Sheets had spots on them. Can see water damage in ceiling they just patched and painted over. Had a service dog and wanted his "certificate" or id card. Had to explain all this is not needed. But for the price and a quick stay was ok. '

The innkeeper, Gigi, was very accommodating—even met us outside when we arrived and showed all around the property to be sure we felt comfortable. Morning breakfasts were so good out on the covered porch. Eve us out under the arbor or on the big front poetic were relaxing. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds and plenty of space to spread out. Fresh fruit and water are always available....
