'Heavily overpriced for the quality you get (on food and beverages). Also paying for beach chairs etc. Hotel is nice and we enjoyed the installation but food and beverages were very basic while all charged on premium rates. Also very high fees to rent beach equipment which in my point of view is outrageous. We have much better experiences in Hawaii concerning that so definitively something to improve. No problem to pay a price but you expect something in return which we didn't feel at all. '

'I am inpatient to write a review: it was very nice and joyful experience! I highly recommend buying only 'ocean view' rooms. It's absolutely worth it! The hotel is located close to the beach, and we would enjoy the amazing ocean views every day. Also, they have a gameroom with shuffle board, pool, Foosball, and air hockey open from 10am to 10pm for all hotel guests for free, and it helped us have fun when we weren't on the beach. 'This a charming and beautiful old building. The individual rooms and common spaces are inviting, and sitting on the lanai with a view of Honolulu is wonderful! The owners provide a simple but filling breakfast and a coffee station and fridge near the sleeping quarters. All staff were welcoming and receptive to questions. If you’re looking for accommodation away from the Waikiki area, or near UH, this is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again! '
