During the day, afternoon and evening it is safe enough to walk to the centre but only at night it is advisable to take a taxi. i was hesitant to book this hotel. but now that i have been there. i am glad i booked this hotel. 'Kind, courteous staff. Only stayed here one night when arriving in Cartagena before heading to the islands. Wish we had come back here for the second part of our trip in Cartagena. Convenient location to lively nightlife, restaurants, etc yet no right on the corner and rooms are away from the street so they are *quiet* at night. '

'The staff is incredibly friendly and supportive. The location is nice, you are in 2min in the middle of Getsemaní and in 10min in the city centre. Everything was clean and fully functioning. The breakfast is lovely!'

'Quedé encantada con Mood Matuna, y Cartagena entera. El hotel es céntrico caminando puedes llegar a Getsemaní o el centro. La habitación es súper espaciosa, cómoda, limpia y en perfectas condiciones. Agradezco que teníamos prime y Netflix. Y siempre que volvíamos cansados de nuestros paseos encontrábamos la habitación limpia y fresca. Los desayunos son buenísimos y el personal muy servicial y amable. Gracias por hacer de nuestra estancia muy agradable. Volvería en otra ocasión y la recomiendo...

'Excelente localização, café da manhã poderia melhorar, é bem simples, não é buffet, quem está acostumado com farto café da manhã vai estranhar, apenas um pão de forma, um prato de frutas, ovos, e suco (pelo menos é natural). O teto do quarto por ser de madeira estava bem sujo, e tinha lagartixa. Chuveiro com água quente, o que é raro por ali.'

"We enjoyed this hotel a lot! Beautiful pool, very friendly staff and good breakfast. We booked a room with clublounge access and this was the only part that could be better. The (sparkling) wines were very sweet and did not taste good. The food offering in the evening was very limited, but the quality was decent. They also have cocktails, but they did not advertise that you have to make them yourself. After some help from chatGPT we found some nice combinations with the drinks that were on offer. But we would not choose clublounge again here. Was kind of an disappointment. The rest (room, breakfast, service, pool) was perfect!"

Expensive but a very nice hotel with great service

"Hotel is very conveniently situated in the old city of Cartagena. It’s and old convent that has been transformed into a hotel. For Colombia it’s an extremely expensive hotel but it’s a nice experience to be pampered and well looked after. Room was nice and comfortable, although the hotel and rooms show some signs of wear and tear. So the hotel management shouldn’t forget to continue to invest in maintenance. But in summary: we had a great stay."

"Van buiten verwacht je het niet, maar het hotel is een verademing in de stad. Meteen in de lobby heerst er rust, het is modern en we werden altijd vriendelijk ontvangen en geholpen bij vragen. Niks was teveel moeite. De locatie is prettig vlakbij de Ciudad Amurallada en aan de rand van Getsemaní. Onze kamer was zeer ruim, lekker bed en alles in goede staat, plus een fijne douche. Het ontbijtbuffet op het dakterras was uitgebreid en lekker, plus een aanvulling op bestelling. Het zwembad is groot heeft een super uitzicht op Bocagrande. Ik zou hier zeker weer teruggaan!"
