'Het altijd fijn om in een typisch engels aangekleed hotel te zitten met overal vloerbedekking en niet alles even strak is. Huiselijk. Wat tegen viel was 1. Het ontbijt. Geen vers fruit en of beleg. 2 de douches: geen waterdruk in de kamer waar ik zat. 3. Het bed. Dit was enigszin doorgelgd en voelde de veren in mijn zijde.'

'Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.'
