'Loved all the staff we met from front desk to cleaning staff. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served on the third floor and you can't take food back to your room but it is a very large dining room that accomodates many. Room was very comfortable. Lots of dead bugs on the balcony but I suppose that's normal. Absolutely loved the view of the beach!'

'We had a great stay here. The rooms were clean and nice, though there was a strong perfume scent. The pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was great. The bonfires with s'mores supplies provided were awesome. The only thing is that the beach is not swimmable and there is no beach where you can walk to the water. There's huge boulders that separate the upper part and lower part of the beach, but the part by the water is mucky and muddy and not crossable. Otherwise, great stay. Would stay again. '

'It was a lovely place to stay with a great experiences on Houghton Lake. '

'Cabins are clean outdated appliances moldy shower Curtain but for the price we payed and just basically to sleep in it was worth it. Could use some ground work and pick up broken chairs and old fire grills outside. Update the patio sets and you’re good. Your right in the lake wake up and swim it is a beautiful spot. '

'Everything was excellent, the owners, the accommodations, the breakfast, the other guests. What a great place - highly recommend staying here!'

'We made a last minute reservation for the weekend. The reservation was easy. We had the best time. It was perfect.'

'The Purple Martin Inn is an eclectic BNB right on the shores of Lake Huron and within feet of a terrific bike trail that extends along the lakeshore. The flowers, birds, and butterflies can all be enjoyed in a large variety of sitting nooks across the property while gazing across at Lake Huron. The owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the lodging is off the main road, so no road noise. Of the three first floor bedrooms, the Cardinal, Blue Jay and Hummingbird Nest rooms are best...
