'This is our second time at the Fairmont Orchid. The property offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation including a beautiful setting. We were in a Gold Level room and the staff couldn't have been more engaging, attentive, and genuinely helpful. You were greeted with a smile each day. This was a theme throughout the resort. The spa services were amazing. It was one of the best massages I've ever had. We snorkeled on property and saw tons of brightly colored tropical fish and sea turtles....

'Perfect location along the beautiful Hamakua Coast! So lush and green. We can not stayed one night but right away I could tell this would be a good place to use as home base for a longer stay. The unit was perfectly appointed and the patio very relaxing with great views. The common area looks excellent, although we didn’t use. Some interesting books I would have liked to sit around and read. Short stay but I liked it. '

'The beach on the property was awesome. The guys on the ATV's on the beach need to minimize there trips past the chairs with umbrellas, they went back and forth too much. They also need to travel down the sides of the chairs not through the middle divide of the chairs. '

'The host was very friendly, and shared some great tips for visiting the Hilo area. Check-in/out instructions were helpful and easy to follow. The building itself is a little tired and could use some updating/cleaning. The unit was well equipped and cozy. 'Every detail has been thought of! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need!! You really feel like you have your own private jungle bungalow.
