'In Hawaii we speak of Mana, to outsiders that can be felt in something that raises the hair on the back of your neck. You feel it in the air, something mysterious but not so silly as ghosts. No, this house is filled with a spirit of its own where you can feel the life of all those that have passed through these doors. If the walls could speak it would tell you the stories of some great writer who sat where you are now staring out to the stream below. If there was one word to describe this house...

'We were delighted with Honoka'a and enjoyed an evening at a ranch west of Waimea, day trips to Kona, Hilo, a tropical garden, Hilo Farmer's market, and Captain Cook monument (for two of us hikers). The accommodations were great for 6 adults. Also enjoyed the oranges off the tree in the backyard.'

'Every thing was perfekt. When we arrived Carla was very friendly. The little condo is perfect for exploring the east coast of Big Island. We had a beautiful stay.'

'This beautiful lodge is undoubtedly one of the best places to stay. It is spotless and has absolutely everything you need to make meals. It is rustic, yet modern, the best of both worlds. I'd stay here for morning coffee and the sunsets from the front porch alone.'

'I loved the location of this vacation home. Updates from the photos as far as the kitchen is that the fridge is bigger and outside on the porch along with the induction cooktop. The grill was in great working condition. I really enjoyed cooking and eating outside on the porch. The view is spectacular. Jim was an amazing host and took the time to walk me around. I will be booking with Jim and Kim again.'

'Beautiful place to stay but communication with the staff is difficult because office hours is 10 to 6 only. Don’t even put a number where you can contact after hours. I arrived at the property after 6 and l was struggled to find out how to check into my unit not knowing that they emailed me an instruction how to get into my unit'

'I stayed 10 nights at this property. Condo is well kept, it had all necessary appliances and features a condo should have and even beach chair, snorkels and surf boards probably left by previous guests. It was a pleasure going to the pool and jacuzzi. There are a good number of Bbqs in good condition and kept clean. Location is great, close to the A-Bay beach and walking distance except when is is very shot and sunny. Then it's better to go by car. Condo is also walking distance to numerous...

'Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). Don't miss Uncle Robert's on Wednesday night with other locals. It was a great time. Also, the Lava Flow museum in Pahoa...

'Huge Lanai!!! Out of the way quiet spot with plenty to keep us busy! Great hosts and easy in and out spot!'

'The beach on the property was awesome. The guys on the ATV's on the beach need to minimize there trips past the chairs with umbrellas, they went back and forth too much. They also need to travel down the sides of the chairs not through the middle divide of the chairs. '

'This is a great place to stay! Walking distance to the beach! Beautiful View from the bedroom and lanai! Comfortable bed! Everything that you could need for cooking, snorkeling, and just enjoying your stay without having to drive anywhere if you don't want to! I would definitely stay here again!'
