'I was in Hilo for a month for work and stayed at Maggie's place. It was perfect for me in all ways - fantastic location, nice complex, very clean, lovely lanai, close to a beautiful park for walks/jogs. Various places to eat or get groceries that are within a 10 min walk or a couple of mins drive. Maggie was an exceptional host, very quick to respond and very kind to me on my arrival after a 25h trip. 'The grounds and the view are great, the cabin has been partially restored. It was a very rustic kitchen set-up, but we made it work. Only real problem were ants. They could find a single grain of sugar anywhere.We named the rooster that hangs around there Hei-Hei. We also had the gecko brothers who kept sneaking into kitchen.The pond has toads in it and they sing at night, counted 6 one night.
