'Tired hotel. Taps constantly dripping and stripped. Many lightbulbs or fixtures not working. Beds were decent. Stayed at other hotels in St. John’s that were much better value for the money.'

'I’m afraid the Guv’nor was a bit of a disappointment. It was a great price, compared to posher downtown hotels but I likely wouldn’t stay there again. The room was adequate but had a musty smell we were never able to clear. Disappointingly, we stayed for three nights and the room was never made up during that time. This would have been less disappointing if they had informed us at check-in. Further, if they didn’t plan to make the room up during our stay, they should have supplied us with more...

'1st night hotel overbooked had to go to another hotel for 2 night. Service was slow in bar no support from management with new people. Housekeeping knocked on door before 12 and asked what time I was leaving. I said I had late check out at 2pm and would leave before then.'
