'I throughly enjoyed my stay. This was my first visit to Oak Island and I will go back. The room was very clean. I didn’t need the staff for any issues but they were great at check in. I also didn’t go to the pool so I’m not sure how that is. The parking lot and the hotel itself seemed very well maintained. I loved the short walk to the beach. I do think my tv was possessed. Lol. Seriously though I think the neighbors remote was turning mine on and off. I couldn’t get my remote to do anything but...

'Great place. The staff, location and family atmosphere makes Captains Cove the perfect location for an old fashioned family beach vacation. After 15 years of visiting it feels like staying with friends and not just a hotel. I’ll be back soon!'

'The room is cheap. You get what you pay for. There isn't a chair to sit and watch tv, beds only. Mold in the shower, door code didn't work. No blinds, just paper ftom a big roll taped to the window. The paper was torn and at night you could see right in. They did put up paper blinds after i complained, still had to hang the comforter up to block the light. Overall meh, but cheap. '
