'this was our first time coming to Nantucket. The location of the cottage could not have been better. We enjoyed walking into town multiple times a day, walking to the beach, and just wandering around the surrounding neighborhood. The cottage is obviously well loved. Beautiful oil paintings and the garden was something special. If we ever find ourselves back up this way again, we will definitely stay in the same spot!'

'We had a great stay at the carriage house - I'm giving it 5 stars all around as that's as high a rating as I can give it. Elaine is a great host, the house is lovely and clean and perfectly equipped - kitchen, towels, sheets, furniture, etc. The location was great for our getaway. It is right across the street from the water and very quiet and serene.'

'Quaint, clean house. Beautiful backyard that has a nice flat section for sitting and then slopes down to the lake. It was wonderful to have kayaks for afternoon jaunts on the lake after a morning of walking at the Mashpee Town Beach- which is connected to the South Cape Beach State Park. Drawbacks are 1) the property manager never got back to us with a solution to an issue. 2) the neighbor's house is very close and they have a TV on their porch which ruins a quiet evening on the renter's porch.'

'Wonderful location on a quiet street walking distance to beautiful Lewis Bay, (1/4 mile). Home was very clean, fully equipped kitchen and a Weber outdoor grill. Our host Kara was readily available for questions or concerns. Looking forward to renting this quaint lovely cottage again!!'
