'This historic hotel had a modern interior that did not disappoint. The fireplace in our room kept us cozy at night. Daily breakfast and sweet treats and warm cider in the afternoon were wonderful. The staff used texts to communicate with us to ensure we had everything we needed. As soon as you step out of the Merchants front door you are footsteps from restaurants, shops and local attractions. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely stay here again!'

'What a unique stay! The free parking and breakfast was a bonus- but a really convenient one. The property is super walkable to all the things, but quiet and safe. The staff was really helpful and friendly. It was a nice historic property, it was a lucky find!'

'The Silsbee Suite was lovely! Its def just for 1 or 2 ppl even though the kitchen is huge there is only 1 queen bed and a couch. You also habe acess to your own private patio but we were out all day and didnt really utilize that. This property is in walkimg distance to everything you need to get to and see in Salem. It is an old house and you can hear EVERYTHING! Even the other guests if they sneeze or laugh so just be aware of that. I would def stay again '

'Looks nice on the outside but old on the inside. You can not make use of the gym. We were not told at checkin so we were there in vain. This is to outdated and to expensive. '

'Marriot in Peabody was awesome. It was comfy and cozy, staff was exceptional. The rooms were ready once we arrived at 11am. They supplied us with clean items everyday. Easy check in and easy check out. The bar is very slow even though there was 6 people there and 3 staff members. We tried the bar Friday and again Saturday…. Friday night it was only two of us at the bar and 2 staff members…. It took forever to get drinks. We ended up leaving. But other than that, we loved it. Loved going to Salem...

'Yes and we called Ubers. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Suggestion, a full length mirror on wall in room outside of bathroom so u can see yourself dressed and put makeup on etc while another person in bathroom. Frank very nice and informative at front desk. '
