'We had three families: 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and a 5-yr old for almost a week. In one word, our stay (and this property) was PERFECT! And Doug and Rose were great hosts - excellent communication.As the name "Steps to the Beach" suggests, the beach is quite accessible. Direct 200-300 ft walk from the corner of the house. Peaceful.The adults took the three king bedrooms (each with a nice bathroom); the 3 boys took the room with the bunks, which has bathroom also accessible from the common living...

'Perfect location, away from all the crowds. Took our mini-dachshund and had three days of fun and sun. Only a short walk from the Gulf and gulf views fromthe kitchen table and deck. Cooked out steaks on the charcoal grill. Very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Great communication with the owners and easy check in and check out. '

This being said, if someone is desperately seeking palatial, party areas, he or she should probably avoid Fort Morgan altogether. However, if anyone is looking for an idyllic adventure in the glories of Nature... amidst a calm, quiet, friendly community, you have found the perfect place! 'When we got there, there were a lot of things that needed repaired. Bottom step on the stairs going up to the house, the support underneath was rotten and not supporting the step. There were two light fixtures on the top floor that had water in them and had to keep a bucket under one light fixture. These light fixtures had to be replaced, but not until after we were checked out.Smoke detector hang off the wall by wires.Direct tv cables, boxes hanging down the wall. Remotes with dead...

'Loved this rental! Beautiful views, kitchen was fully equipped with nice appliances - made cooking fun. The outdoor shower and at least three other water hoses were very convenient. And most important - beds were comfy! That’s a big plus in my book! And we were able to bring our four-legged family members. Beach was beautiful, and the water was crystal clear. Pretty secluded making it feel so personal. It really felt “at home”. We’ll be back!'
