'This large and very well presented B&B property is ideally situated to visit nearby Hardwick Hall and is just off the motorway. In a safe, rural location, it is purpose built and has plenty of safe easy parking. Our room was spacious well appointed, albeit somewhat functional and lacking decorative touches. The walls are very thin, so our loud neighbour kept us awake most of the night. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate.'

'A lovely stay. A beautiful building and immaculate cosy room. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was huge. A great view of the canal. Right in the centre of Newark and easy to access. Parking is allocated per room and validated via an app...building work was happening so my space wasn't signed, but the builders were really helpful. The outside was in need of a bit of a tidy up, but it is Autumn. '

"De kamers zijn verouderd, er ligt overal vloerbedekking, dit i.c.m. Een vieze airco die nauwelijks koelt maar vooral veel herrie maakt en bedden die doorzakken en kussens die erg hard zijn, had ik veel meer hiervan verwacht. Ik zou hier pas nog een keer heen gaan als alles is gerenoveerd. Tijdens het verblijf ging om 6:15 het brandalarm af en moest iedereen evacueren. Dit kwam door een gesprongen waterleiding. En resulteerde in geen water meer uit de kraan, geen douche en ook geen toilet doorspoelen tot een uur of 14:00. Dus ook geen koffie bij het ontbijt. Geen enkel excuus of iets van het hotel uit, erg jammer"
