'Little did we know when we planned our stay that we would hit a bank holiday this weekend in Edinburgh. Possibly because of this, reasonably affordable rooms in the city center could not be found at all. A room at this hotel was still the most affordable. Previous reviews were often quite negative. Still, we opted for it for the cost. The carpet on the stairs was indeed quite worn and full of holes. The room was very basic, bed quite narrow for 2, bedding and towels were good. Bathroom OK. 'Muito bem localizado. Um parque lindo a frente e com comercio e transporte perto. Sentimos falta do keycode antes de chegarmos ao local. Não há recepção e por isso foi dificil entrar e conseguir a chave do quarto. No mais, quarto grande, simples e atendeu bem a gente! Bom wifi! '

'Een week verbleven en qua prijs kwaliteit was dit een echte topper! Het hotel is basic maar je kan gebruik maken van televisie, en een zeer goede regendouche. De eigenares was ook zo vriendelijk om onze boardingpasses af te printen! Je kan wel goed de andere gasten in hun kamers horen dit was misschien het enige minpuntje.'

'Simple but adequate'

'De locatie ligt op loopafstand bij Leithstreet. Dit is een enorme winkelstraat in een multiculturele wijk. Er zijn eetgelegenheden uit alle hoeken van de wereld, verder zijn er enorm veel winkels en boetieken met een zeer gevarieerd aanbod. Dit alles geeft een erg bruisende en levendige sfeer weer waarmen zicht snel thuisvoelt. Verder is Leithstreet de toegangspoort tot Old town Princesstreet en The Royal Mile. Edinburgh is een adembenemende stad voor elk wat wils!!!!'

'We stayed in a room with private bathroom. The private bathroom is outside the room which is not mentioned in the description of the room, however, this was not an issue at all. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean, the staff we also polite. We lost the Wi-Fi connection on the second day of our stay but the staff politely provided me with a new Wi-Fi and password to connect to.'
