"Het huis is erg oud en de kamer in slechte staat, de badkamer moest je delen met 4 anderen kamers. Er zou ontbijt zijn maar de keuken wordt verbouwd, de receptie was alleen telefonisch te bereiken, de hulp deed heel erg zijn best.

"Little did we know when we planned our stay that we would hit a bank holiday this weekend in Edinburgh. Possibly because of this, reasonably affordable rooms in the city center could not be found at all. A room at this hotel was still the most affordable. Previous reviews were often quite negative. Still, we opted for it for the cost. The carpet on the stairs was indeed quite worn and full of holes. The room was very basic, bed quite narrow for 2, bedding and towels were good. Bathroom OK. Did have to wait a long time on the 3rd floor for hot water.
Previously we stayed in Liverpool and in Glasgow at the Adagio both with small kitchen. Everything perfectly fine. Price 120 - 140 pounds less. Compared with that you get here very little for quite a lot of money."

Ontvangst hartelijk en vriendelijk, daarna niemand niet meer gezien. Ook 's avonds niet. Algemeen: prima verblijf voor overnachting. Bus voor naar centrum tegenover het hotel was erg fijn."

"Het is op een handige locatie. Het openbaar vervoer stop voor de deur zowel de tram als bus. Je loopt zo, zowel de oude als de nieuwe stad in. En het ontbijt is prima geregeld en heerlijk eten. Het meubilair is wat gedateerd, maar je bent daar ook niet om in je hotelkamer te hangen. Het bed slaapt goed.
Een speciale shoutout naar Danilo hij heeft ons extra tips gegeven over wat je echt moet zien en daarnaast heeft hij ons wandelroutes gegeven wat ons een hoop zoeken heeft bespaard. We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Danilo om even na 23:30 en we konden nog lekker wat drinken bij hem. Al met al een zeer aan te raden hotel! "
"Oud, vervallen hotel. Geen personeel aanwezig. Slechte communicatie mbt het verkrijgen van een code om binnen te komen en verkrijgen van kamersleutel. Bij aankomst bleken de stopcontacten niet te werken dus geen werkende nachtlampjes of mogelijkheid tot opladen van telefoons. Ook konden we geen gebruik maken van de waterkoker en koelkast. Pas de volgende dag kwam er iemand om het op te lossen na lang aandringen via appcontact met de conciërge. De douche moet aangezet worden met een schakelaar buiten de badkamer. Erg onhandig als je klaar bent met douchen. De douchebak overstroomt na 30 sec. zodat de hele badkamervloer vrijwel meteen onder water loopt. Kamer en badkamer zijn niet echt schoon en zeer gehorig. Dit hotel is niet zoals het er uitziet op hun website en veel te duur voor wat je er voor krijgt. "
