'Stayed here for 3 nights recently. It's a family owned business, with a good selection of local real ales. Everyone very friendly, cooked breakfast started each day on the right footing. Dog friendy - and he appreciated his own sausage each morning. Great location for walking - Kinder Scout and Derwent Water a short drive or Buxton, Bakewell or Matlock - perfect break '

'We wondered what we had let ourselves in for on arrival. How surprised we were as our stay progressed. The breakfasts were supreme, the service with a smile by our host, David, wonderfully assisted by Allison. Nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasurable stay. A nice location for our days out and always a welcome home cuppa on our return. Lovely memories.'

'Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return '
