'We stayed at this house for the weekend of the UConn Health half marathon and 5k. The house was easy to get to and felt very cozy. The beds were comfortable, the ACs worked well, and it was well stocked with anything we needed. The check-in and check-out process was easy. I would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in the area and would stay in this house again if we visited the area.'

'Me and three of my colleagues stayed here for a week while we were doing a Hands-On training seminar. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was easy to use and had the right amount of supplies we needed to cook all our meals. The house was quiet and clean. The neighborhood was lovely to walk in. When we had a little issue we were able to contact the host quickly and they helped us address it. I would definitely recommend staying here!'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage at Markham Bay on Lake Pocotopaug! Kris, our host, was responsive and truly amazing! The house, property and location scream "RELAX" to all who enter. Tons of amenities, supplies and entertainment inside this lovely home. Outside, you'll find a beautiful sea themed mural depicting a local legend. Stroll along the walkways adorned with precious garden areas and whimsical decorations to the terraced sitting areas with Adirondacks, firepit or dockside...

'we paid for early check in, however, seems as though it was not communicated and by the time we were able to get in the house, it was nearly the normal check-in time which turns out to be a waste of money for me..Also there were no instructions on turning on the heat which we were doing incorrectly and had to wait in a 45 deg house until someone came to adjust it- also we had to call about the fire place - and the recliner seats did not work'

'I love staying here. Each visit I bring something new from Louisiana and leave it for the next guest. The cooking supplies are admirable for a home, and especially so for a home away-from-home. We couldn't find a better place to stay. The beds are super comfy, though the furniture requires extra padding. Fortunately there are lots of blankets to use as cishioning.'

'The cottage is everything one could need or want when wanting to enjoy quiet surrounded by nature. The hosts really set it up with all one needs to feel like they are home away from home. They communicated well and made sure we knew we could reach out to them for any needs. I left out a star due to water issues which has nothing to do with the host but location I’m sure. We had to keep waiting for it to be available for showers and with teens the complaints must be heard and thus that should be...

'My 18 year old found this amazing spot, for our Anniversary! We wanted a lakeside getaway and this was ideal in so many ways. We spent the afternoons at the lake and when the weather permitted, we had breakfast there too. It rained both nights which also allowed us to have cozy indoor time together. We had puzzles to choose from, the record player was always on and what a vast range of music to choose from. While we caught up on a few TV shows, we grilled on the conveniently positioned BBQ...
