'We had big problems when we arrived at 18.00 hrs; it lasted about 1 hr before the host arrived for the check in. The reason was that the Flying Bull closes on Sunday at 17.00 hr and we were asked to contact by telephone, but our efforts unfortunately failed. We had to ask help from Expedia, but a leaving guest could help us at last. Anyhow the room and brakfast were at least satyfying.'

'We stayed here in the Tudor 4 poster room. While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow). 'Super stay as a half way point from Wimbledon to the coast on bikes with kids. Excellent, spacious family room. Right on the Down’s link. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere on a sunny afternoon. Gastro pub, although we felt that the standard of the food could be improved a little. Overall though an enjoyable stay. '
