'I was in Hickory for a professional training at LRU. My family traveled with me. This property was a short drive to LRU. The neighborhood was quiet, and the accommodations were lovely… and cozy indeed! In my opinion, however, the true magic of this property is its host! She is a gem of a human being. No matter the time of day, she was responsive— almost immediately! … and when a family emergency arose suddenly, she was kind, compassionate and flexible. Hoping to stay with her again next summer...

'I traveled to Statesville for work to go to a weeklong class. I wanted to do something different instead of a hotel. This apartment was HUGE, very spacious, clean, smelled amazing, and very well decorated. Very well designed from a magazine. It's above a bookstore in an old building so there is exposed brick, ducts, and ceiling beams. The flooring is real wood through out. 'This is a perfect getaway location. We enjoyed the privacy and the location is near Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. Quiet & apartment is perfect. Kitchen had premier cooking utensils, pans, and I loved the extra care with coffee or tea and dishes. Excellent one room for a couple. Walking up to the garden house called Mole Hill is an extra perk. We loved Badger’s Den and the theme from Wind in the Willows!'
