'Fantastic stay at La Basilica Quito. Great location with good security, very friendly owners and staff. English spoken. Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom with all amenities. Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '

'On multiple fronts a horrible stay, we stayed here for one night before a flight. When we checked in everything seemed fine. The room, a suite, looked very nice upon first glance. After unpacking and trying the swimming pool (pool was rather cold and the jacuzzi was too hot) we noticed our room had a very loud and unacceptable noise in it.
