'Loved this stay. Affordable, clean, quiet. It’s a bit far for a direct walk to downtown but there’s a bus stop right nearby, and we didn’t mind getting the extra walking in so mad the walk multiple times anyways. The campus is gorgeous, you can walk by the River and get a nice view of a castle. Campus wasn’t busy at all. Highly recommend if you’re in the area looking for somewhere affordable. I’ll probably be staying here whenever I’m in the city in the future.'

'Location was amazing. Showers were not the best, but fine for the price of the hostel. The beds had curtains on the side, but the top and bottom didn’t. The drawer can be locked (bring your own lock).'

'Clean, well-run hostel. Family room was good, bed comfy, bathroom clean and nice hot shower. The communal spaces were clean and well kept. Convenient if walking the Kerry Way, only 3km off the route and nicely situated between Cahersiveen and Waterville.'

'I was asked to review my stay after the property cancelled my booking for 3 rooms for 3 nights only a week before our trip. Had a nightmare rebooking, with Taylor Swift playing and it being Pride weekend.'

'The worst hostel I have ever stayed at. The price is just theft. It smells badly everywhere. I found some hair on my bedding. The beds are 100 years old and from metal, mattress is horrible, so very comfortable! It was not even that hot but hot enough so that we had to open the window. A lot of partying going on so sleep is impossible. Glass is being picked up by the city at 4am. Very respectful! You might as well stay homeless for the night, that would have been more comfortable. 'WARNING! Don’t book this hostel!! As Chris mentions it has run out of business and is closed down, but still takes the payments and sends a confirmation email like nothing. I unfortunately booked it before Chris’ experience.. trying to get hotels.com to remove this hostel! '
