'Living even for a short time in a castle is a unique experience. It is just rustic enough to get a feel for castle life and just modern enough to make it comfortable. The grounds are lush and the area is quiet. Otters were on the rocks down by the water at the bottom of the stairs at waters edge. 'The place was so unique and beautifully furnished! We were there with our teenage daughters. The place was clean and had all the things we needed. If you’re traveling in the summer- it was very hot, especially in the upstairs room.'

'Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive. The location is very remote so you need to know you’ll be driving for any restaurants , etc. The check in process was not good BUT that was an Expedia/VRBO issue because they sent incorrect lock box and code info. ' This castle presented old world elegance and charm while teeming with 21st century amenities. A perfect blend of both worlds! The house and accommodations are absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. We wanted for nothing. We were a group of 9 and had plenty of room to spare. Each person had a fabulous time.
