'The place was dirty. Went to the basement to check out the laundry room and found standing water because the sub pump was broken, 3 full piles of bedding in and on the washer and dryer. This led me to believe the sheets on the bed had not been washed. The stove top was dirty, dishes in the dishwasher, dirt in between the cushions of the couch. 'First off Tom the property owner was wonderful. Very nice guy!! He gave us some tips on where to go in the area. The first day it rained to we travelled about 40 minutes to an antique mall. It had 5 floors and certainly worth the stop. Other days we travelled to Small Falls which was very beautiful. The Cabin is certainly in a pretty spot. There is Lake Porter just a 4-minute walk away. Remee, our four-legged girl went everywhere with us. So my recommendation is travel around but also plan...

'Skied Sugarloaf and Saddleback. Nice location for both. House had a very nice sitting area for the number of guests it holds. Well insulated and recently updated. Hard water but Pur filter system in refrigerator provides softer water for drinking. Just is very responsive. '

'This is a wonderful find and so well appointed -from perfect glassware to comfy sheets and fluffy towels. You will want for nothing! My husband and I stayed for four days to attend a wedding close by. This was a perfect spot. Thank you Mike and Kim for sharing your special place. '

'The view was amazing. The cabin tho was nothing like expected. It's currently being renovated, but the walls are nothing but installation, the flooring isn't finished at all. There is electricity and tv, but no water and the bathroom is not finished but there is a port a potty outside that is completely disgusting. Overall the view is great but the place definitely needs a lot. '

'Great stay, perfect location - skied both Sugarloaf and Saddleback. Clean, large home. Loved being near the hiking/XC trails! Suggestions: need large pot for pasta, a working can opener, had to buy dishwasher detergent, squeaky bunk beds ( not sure what you could do about that ).Would return!'
