'Perfect dinner and a good service at the reception. Changing from a Japanese bedroom to a European bedroom solved with no discussion. Good connection with public busservice in front of the hotel. '

'Okada is a pretty big ryokan in Hirayu onsen area. Perfect for visiting Kamikochi in the summer. Rooms are of good size with a nice balcony/sitting area. The biggest plus of the ryokan is the beatiful onsen with multiple baths. Drawbacks were that our room didn’t have AC, only a fan, while it was very hot. The futons were pretty hard.'

Heel aardige receptionist, sprak alleen nauwelijks Engels. Wist met gebaren alles goed uit te leggen.Onsen ook prettig. Als je een keer een Ryokan wilt proberen, dan is dit een goede. Goede prijskwaliteit verhouding. Auto gratis parkeren. Weinig ruimte im dingen op te leggen. Een paar plankjes en extra...

'We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. The building is old and reminded me of the railroad lodges of the western United States: creaky old doors and floors, metal keys, and rotary dial phones. Other than the hotel, there are no restaurants nearby (that I know of) and dinner is an elaborate kaiseki ryori that requires...

'Great old-style Ryokan with very friendly and helpful hosts in a nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants, bars, and shops. Excellent Japanese breakfast as well as Japanised Western breakfast. Walking distance from the train and bus station. '
