'I stayed recently in a Superior Double Room and can easily say this was one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in before! It was absolutely amazing. The decor very tasteful and the amount of space was incredible! I usually never sleep particularly well on my first night anywhere, but I had no trouble whatsoever! 'This is an older hotel in a gorgeous location right on Grasmere Lake. The interior has been modernized, which some traditionalists lament, but it is very comfortable. There is humorous, whimsical art throughout the facility. The large spa is a real plus. Breakfasts are ample and offer plenty of options. Large bathtubs in the rooms are very nice. Our shower stall often smelled musty, but this could be relieved by leaving the door open. A full length mirror in each room would be a good addition....
