'First off I never stayed here for my dates, so my review is only of the host. The host sent me a message the night before I was scheduled to arrive stating that the furnace was in the process of being replaced and the house was being heated by space heaters, which he said are working out quite well so far, just don’t ask me about my electric bill. I responded that I am not comfortable staying with two young kids and a dog in a house with space heaters. He refused to refund me and actually told...

'Peaceful and quiet atmosphere beds were extremely comfortable'

'We had a great time!!! We snowshoed on the trails in the back and enjoyed the snowy wide open spaces! The place was great for us too - the fireplace so cozy after a day out in the cold! The proximity to lake placid was amazing too!!'

'The Internet dropped in and out the last day we were there and water pressure in the shower fluctuated at one point going off for about 30 sec while showering. Outside of that, nice place and our stay was good. I’d go back again.'

'Room was nice but, loaded with drain flies we had to have killed at least 20 throughout the stay. Water pressure in the shower was non existent. The pool that the said that was useable hasn’t been clean all season. Location was great walking distance to downtown.'
