'This property was newer than others. It was very clean. The rooms were large and included a kitchen. The breakfast was pretty good. They had eggs sausage and potatoes one day. Then, eggs biscuits and sausage gravy the next day. They also had muffins bagels and an oatmeal bar. This was a very comfortable stay... especially for the price.'

'Check in was quick, staff were kind. Our room was spacious, clean, cold and loved that the bathroom had a glass enclosure and no shower curtain. The pool was closed during our time but that was okay. Also, the pillows were so uncomfy, lumpy and firm. Wouldn’t deter me from staying there but would note to bring your own pillow maybe. '

'After having such a bad experience at another hotel and having them cancel our reservation, we were able to book a room at Candlewood, which was a step up from the previous location. This hotel was very inviting, The staff was exceptional. The amenities were great. Free washer and dryer for customers. Kitchen in the room with a range of appliances that could be borrowed. If needing a place to stay in Houston again, we will definitely stay here again. '

The hotel is very clean and we have never heard any street/highway noise. The provided breakfast was good with a wide variety of items to choose from. This is an ideal place to stay before you leave on a cruise from Galveston. It is around a thirty minute drive to the Port of Galveston.'

"Prima kamer. Personeel is erg aardig. Ontbijt is prima, verwacht geen uitgebreid buffet maar wel wafelmachine en broodrooster ed. Ligt vlak aan een drukke doorgaande weg maar we hadden eigenlijk geen last van de herrie. makkelijk te bereiken. Zo er zeker weer overnachten als we daar in de buurt zijn"
