' Beautiful getaway for the weekend. We enjoyed the property tour and ghost tour staff was incredible and knowledgeable. 1796 restaurant was incredible. They really made our anniversary special. We stayed in the Judge Clark Woodruff Suite and definitely experienced several paranormal encounters. Definitely worth a stay if you like ghost stories and paranormal activities. '

'The house, built 1870, would be a dream for children: candy, cookies, chocolate, muffins, candybars e v e r y w h e r e !!
Inside it has an extensive collection of all kind of odds and ends, which makes the house so cozy!
We stayed in the governer's room, a big room with a comfortable king bed.
You must not count on (daily) cleaning and making the bed, because both jobs won't happen. That was a bit disappointing, because we stayed for four nights and had expected that to happen. The room...

'Great location in the heart of Lafayette. Staff is great and very helpful. We had the empire room and it was a nice spacious and clean room. Same for the bathroom. Lovely light homemade breakfast in the morning. '

'I have traveled all over the world and this is my favorite place.
The food is absolutely delightful! I am a chef and restaurant owner and I am completely blown away by the food!
I truly joy the entire atmosphere.The walking paths through the grounds are peaceful and gorgeous.
The cottages are beautifully decorated and clean.
If I could live here, I would. I come here 1 - 2 a year. This is my oasis away from the snowy tundra in Superior, WI.
