B&B in Louisiana

'Hele mooie b&b in het centrum van new orleans met geweldig personeel met veel tips.'

'Great location in the heart of Lafayette. Staff is great and very helpful. We had the empire room and it was a nice spacious and clean room. Same for the bathroom. Lovely light homemade breakfast in the morning. '

'The house, built 1870, would be a dream for children: candy, cookies, chocolate, muffins, candybars e v e r y w h e r e !! Inside it has an extensive collection of all kind of odds and ends, which makes the house so cozy! We stayed in the governer's room, a big room with a comfortable king bed. You must not count on (daily) cleaning and making the bed, because both jobs won't happen. That was a bit disappointing, because we stayed for four nights and had expected that to happen. The room...

'Wij zaten in een cottage. Fijne bedden en leuke kamer. Cottage heeft een porch met schommelstoelen. Toen wij er waren was het warm en nat dus vol muggen. Helaas dus geen gebruik van kunnen maken. Leuk verblijf voor een dag of 2.'

'Zeer goed ontbijt, behulpzaam personeel'

'Fantastische locatie in de rivierdelta buiten New Orleans. Geweldig uitzicht en een mooie kamer met goede bedden. Heel gastvrij ontvangst met vers gebakken chocolade koeken en heerlijk ontbijt. '

'My room was super clean. The bathroom was impeccable. Plenty of towels. I especially liked that not a lot of other guests were there; it was very quiet despite the busy street. Important detail that Expedia leaves out; there’s no front desk, so check in is between 3-5. They were kind enough to let me in after hours, but you shouldn’t rely on my experience; call ahead! I just got lucky. If it had been in the middle of the night I’d have been in trouble. The charm of staying in an old historic...

'Beautiful, very nice host.'

'Gorgeous grounds and mansion. 38 acres of ponds, fountains, and sculptures. Fabulous meals.'

'We stayed in the Commissary. Very interesting old home from 1820 but the property (or at least, the care taker's position) has recently changed hands, so you'll see why the "breakfast" portion of "B & B" is not available right now. No other guests were staying the evening of our visit, so the caretaker gave us a tour of the house, and even let us see the attic. It really is just like the Loyd Hall website states...that there is no one else in the home, in terms of staff members, and if you...

'Great property and excellent communication when an issue rose with entry codes.'

'Amazing property'

'Loved the room. Great location (a bit of walking is involved which is normal). AMAZING bathroom.'

'Our booked room (Weiland) had a small issue with the toilet and as we arrived on a Sunday and no plumber was available, host Andrea immediately upgraded us to Ruthie’s Balcony, a suite on the upper floor in the front of the house. It’s and old building but with incredible charm. That comes with its challenges, we understand that. We thoroughly enjoyed the space, the decor, the thoughtful items for us to consume in the fridge. Andrea and Jackie were helpful and could be reached by text and...

'Responsive staff, great breakfast, terrific location.'

'The property is just as described. It is centrally located and close to everything you will need. Shops, restaurants, bars, the French Quarter. We had a car but it wasn’t needed and it sat in the parking lot most the time. It was easier to walk or travel by streetcar and/or bus and a lot cheaper than uber. We bought a jazzy pass for 8 and it was all we really needed for transportation. The host was great and very responsive. As the listing states, you can hear your neighbors and although there...

'Et hyggelig sted, med personale som ivaretar gjestene. Stedets beliggenhet er fantastisk i forhold til alle musikkstedene med live musikk. Første, og det beste ligger bare ca 100 meter fra overnattingsstedet. Dette stedet er helt topp!'

'Vriendelijke ontvangst. Lekker ontbijt met veel fruit. Rode kamer is mooi en ruim maar wat geluidshinder van de airco-installatie.'
