'Had such a wonderful stay at Chateau Royal! I am from New Iberia, but we have outgrown our family home, so in recent years have needed to find alternative places to stay. This is our new favorite place. It was clean and well stocked. Within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, shopping, City Park. Great view of Bayou Teche from back deck. 'We loved our stay at this cute historic house—perfect size for two and super comfy. It was the ideal home base for visiting friends and family nearby. We walked to the Abita Brew Pub (great live music and food—definitely try the root beer float!) and the Sunday farmers market.Quick drive into downtown Covington for awesome shops and restaurants—check out the bookstore *Oxlot Books*, it’s a gem.The host was super responsive and everything was easy.
