'We waren erg tevreden over onze accommodatie. De medewerkers waar ook zeer vriendelijk. De keuken is redelijk uitgebreid voor een appartement. Wifi is ook snel. Absoluut een aanrader! Airco was overigens wel aangenaam geweest, maar dat wisten we van tevoren.'

'Perfect location in the center for the southside of the island, therefore an ideal starting point for all of your dautrips around the island. You do need a car as the nearest town/supermarket is a 15 minutes drive on the twisty and hilly roads. We really liked the spacious appartment (MC2) and the stunning sight over the valley and sea. 'Stayed in a room that hosted me and two friends. The location to check-in was close to the apartment and walkable. There are a lot of cute shops and restaurants that are walkable from this location. Communication through WhatsApp was very smooth with the host. There is an elevator so you don’t have to only rely on stairs to bring your luggage upstairs. All in all a good stay! '

'Die Unterkunft war klein, aber absolut ausreichend und sehr sauber. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, auch wenn wir sie selbst nicht genutzt haben. Besonders überzeugt hat uns die zentrale Lage: Der Markt, die Altstadt und der Hafen sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich direkt in der Nähe. Auch die Parksituation war unkompliziert: Von 20:00 Uhr bis 08:00 Uhr kann man das Auto kostenlos auf der Straße (in den blau markierten Zonen) abstellen. Tagsüber...

"Prachtig hotel met alle faciliteiten die je je maar kunt wensen en op loopafstand van het centrum van Funchal. Wij hadden een garden room die van alle gemakken was voorzien en waarbij (indien gewenst) house keeping zelfs 2x per dag langs kwam. Mooie badkamer met grote inloopdouche en ligbad. Groot zwembad, diverse restaurants, bars en bijna iedere avond livemuziek. Een klein minpuntje was dat onze garden room recht boven de bar lag en wanneer er livemuziek was, kon je dat in de kamer goed horen. Overigens stopte dit om 23.30 dus niet extreem laat, maar wel als je bijvoorbeeld de volgende ochtend op wil staan voor een hike. We hebben dit aangegeven bij de receptie en zij konden ons een andere (kleinere) kamer aanbieden. Dit wilden we liever niet. Toen zijn ze ons tegemoet gekomen door ons de hele week gratis te laten parkeren, gratis late check out en een drankvoucher voor de bar. Heel netjes opgelost. Ze doen er alles aan om ervoor te zorgen dat de gasten tevreden zijn. Bij een volgend bezoek aan Madeira zouden we zeker weer voor Savoy Palace kiezen!"

"Beautiful modern hotel, absolutely 5 star. It is dark on the inside, would prefer it lighter with more daylight though. The other strange thing is the bath room is in the open in your hotelroom, so no privacy, never seen that before. I highly recommend the upgrade to the Premium Service, which is great with all the extra’s "
