'The house was spotless and a good location to get on highway. It was near the airport and could hear planes landing and taking off but did not hear planes after 11 p m. The owner lives in lower level and was very nice but did not speak much English and I do not speak Portuguese so checking in was a little complicated. I liked the location it was not as busy as Funchal and overlooked the mountains. The island is spectacular and would definitely recommend a stay on this island. '

'Het is een prachtig, royaal en goed ontworpen huis met heerlijk goed onderhouden zwembad en jacuzzi. Wij waren met 8 volwassenen en een baby en hebben volop genoten van alle voorzieningen. De bedden waren goed, de waskeuken (laundry) perfect, het biljart goed, de badkamers goed.Er waren ook een paar minpunten. Zo waren alle vuilniscontainers helemaal vol toen we aankwamen. Onze eigen vuilnis kon er niet meer bij. An Island apart reageerde pas na drie dagen op deze klacht. Na drie dagen werd het...

'The home is high on a hill, modern and very clean. The pool is wonderful and a perfect temperature. We stayed for 1 month. Beatrice met us at the house and responded to our questions quickly. The cleaning crew came in once a week which was fantastic We were not prepared for how steep and narrow the roads were in our area, but it appears to be the norm. My husband eventually became an expert driver. Madeira is a wonderful place to visit. We are happy we chose An Island Apart. '

'La propiedad nos ha gustado mucho es muy grande la propiedad y no tuvimos oportunidad de visitarla toda. La piscina no es climatizada pero a pesar de ello los chicos la disfrutaron los pocos momentos que estuvimos en ella. El clima es diferente entre los poblados de las playas y está casa por lo que debemos estar preparado para los cambios de clima mientras subes a ella. Eso si verás muchas estrellas ya que está en un lugar con poca Contaminación lumínica. Fue un gusto habernos hospedado aca'
