'This is an old, tired hotel in need of renovation. Also the late shift staff is anything but helpful. For one, this hotel has no lift which is a pain if you arrive with heavy luggage, and the evening staff decides to give you a second floor room, and subsequently doesn't offer to help you carry the heavy luggage upstairs. 'Parking is offsite and a bit of a walk through the mall and across the walkway, but there is space right in front of the hotel for loading/unloading and if you can find space near the entry of the parking garage it's not bad at all. By far the most reasonably priced hotel near the waterfront and close to transit. This is the second time I've stayed here and it's my go-to hotel when I'm in Halifax. Nice rooms, friendly staff, and very walkable to everything you want to do. '

'We only spent one night at the Lord Nelson Hotel, but it was exactly the experience we were looking for. The location is very central and walkable to the waterfront. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The toiletries provided in the room smelled great and the mini-fridge meant you could keep things cold if you needed to.
