'Pulling into the property we were greeted by a beautiful blue heron gracing the dock! Wonderful grassy lawn with Adirondack chairs, fire pit, tree swings, and gorgeous view. Opened the doors to the home and instantly impressed! Very clean, felt new! There was a birthday gift waiting for my granddaughter!!! Very cozy, quaint, and homey feel! Even better than described!The horses came to visit and stayed for a long time! What a treat to watch them! Fully enjoyed the paddle boat and paddle...

Very last minute as our rental home was booked.. even more last minute ours canceled and Josie was gracious enough to allow our friends to stay there in lieu of us. 'The house was wonderful. We dont travel often because I am super nervous about accommodations being clean. This house was exceptionally clean. I was very pleased. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen for our week long stay. We loved that there was beach chairs and an umbrella for our use. Beds were comfortable. We saw some horses in the yard but over all we only saw about 10 the entire week. We were hoping the baby turtles were going to make their appearance while we were there but...

'This house is just as pictured! Beautifully maintained and has all the extras you could possibly need for an incredible beach trip! There were enough kayaks for our family of 5 to go out for the day too. We loved seeing the horses visit daily. The screened in deck was great for morning coffee and watching the horses. The downstairs deck is perfect for enjoying meals and hanging out after a day at the beach. We really enjoyed our stay at this house!! '

'This was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The sunrise and sunset are stunning the perfect place for my morning coffee or for us to unwind and fish in the evening. The host was quick to answer any questions or help in anyway. Kitty hawk is only 20mins away making it nice to get away from the crowds and traffic but convenient if you want some beach time. '

'Perfect vacation home, quiet, peaceful, and well laid out property. Loved cruising the 4x4 beach in my Jeep wrangler daily. They also had all the amenities you could need for your stay. Our young son and my husband enjoyed the kayaks on the canal for early morning fishing while I enjoyed the gorgeous mornings on the lovely porch enjoying my coffee and the horses that greeted us every morning and evening during our stay. Our daughter enjoyed the paddle board, while we grilled in the afternoons...
