'My booking was lost, but hotel solved it by giving a room till they solved the problem. It took over an hour to check in.
Restaurant is great, staff did their best. Beijing duck and pleasant wines for an ok budget. House atmo was very pleasant, corridor in cellar to room had unpleasant smell.
Pools had not opened. Kids club was still closed, this I found out locally. No mentioning by booking.
This is one of the first hotels on walking distance I found to visit the wall.

'The hotel itself is very nice and clean The staff are very friendly with the exception they really don't speak any English so even the simplest things they don't understand I did pick the property because it said they speak both English and Chinese but they're English is very very limited if at all and then even in all of China when you use a app to translate to Chinese they still can look at you funny and don't really understand it so I'm not sure what the translation does but it's not as...

'Check in was ok although a long line with only 2 ppl in front desk. It was prepaid w/double breakfast but the next day the breakfast site could not find my record so the bill was sent to my room. Later then I received a call from front desk to ask how to pay the room fee etc. I replied it was prepaid and then I sent my receipt to front desk, then front desk said they need to verify with if I need to pay or not with financial dept to check if they receive fund or not. No information was replied...

'It is 20 min from Great Wall of China; but around there is no restaurant. We ate restaurant inside hotel, food is good; also breakfast buffet is the best. Staffs are friendly but no English speaking, we used google translator. Great hotel, strongly recommend if you want to go Great Wall of China '

'Excellent overall very kind personnel but not very well catered to foreign tourism as per language.
But they all did their best and had translating gadgets to help out.
Also the food was good but restaurant would close to early and not provide room service even though in the room they advertise it.'

'We had a great 3-day stay at the guesthouse. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful despite limited English skills and the restaurant serves delicious Chinese food.
Located 2 hour drive North of Beijing in a remote village close to the Great Wall, the guesthouse is perfect for a getaway from the busy capital.
The rooms are new with nice facilities and a small courtyard for each room makes it very private.
We will be back in future and we will recommend this guesthouse to others that...
