'We loved staying at this hotel with a room overlooking Lake Superior and with all the canal park had to offer. My husband was able to see a ship leave through the aerial vertical lift bridge on the canal. At the brewery next door, there were live cameras monitoring the port entrance, lighthouse and bridge. It was a great stay!'

'This is an amazing property for the price. The place does need some updates. But the location is amazing and the staff was super helpful. If you are the kind of person that is out and exploring all day and need a central home base I absolutely recommend. '

'We are outside enjoying 70° temperature. Enjoying watching the sailboats. The hotel has a rich history. We even decided to stay an extra night. '

'The grounds were well maintained and mosquito free, the shoreline was flat rugged stone jutting into the surf. The stars were perfectly visible at night. Campfires are night with s'mores were great addition. The room was wonderful, comfortable, and quiet. We could only hear the sounds of the crashing waves which lulled us to sleep at night. I would stay here again or recommend it to anyone.'
