'My wife and two daughters and I had a wonderful homebase here as we explored San Diego beaches and the zoo. It was quiet, clean, and self contained with wonderful parking. It was perfectly relaxing and homey.'

'Perfect beach getaway with our Labrador retriever. The Grotto had everything we needed and Jason the host was very welcoming and responsive. It was close to all kinds of restaurants and within a short drive of dog beach in Del Mar. The weather was exactly what we were looking for, an escape from the Arizona heat. 'My family thoroughly enjoyed our time in this studio! The space was adequate and so lovely. It is very clear the owners put a lot of love and care into all of the details to make guests' stays worth while. The kitchen area was stocked with everything one would need to be able to prepare a meal minus the food. The bathroom was my favorite place. I also liked the decor and beach amenities. 'The owners are very nice and helpful. The property feels a bit sterile and there’s security lights and video cameras outside all up the walkway and at the entrance. The bedding was very heavy sheets for the temperature, pillows were flat. It was an ok place to spend the night but I wouldn’t want to stay more than that. '

"Perfect location. Rooms are dated. I don’t like it when they say that your room is available but because its a few hours to early (because of an early flight) you have to pay 25 dollar extra. Room was not clean (empty packaging latex contraceptives) behind the bed. Als in tower 3 there was somebody “welcomes” you with a wheel you can turn to win a 120 minutes time share meeting….."

"We had a room facing the freeway. The room has very thin windows so it was very noisy. Also the air conditioner was so loud that we needed to turn it off to be able to sleep. Breakfast was ok but not much variety. The rooms were clean though. Parking is paying (24 dollars a night) but you can park in the street in front of the hotel for free. "
