'Reception was nice, it seemed we were the only guists and quickly she changed our room from the third floor to the first. There was no elevator and we had heavy luggage. No help. The bathroom was very dirty and outdated, brown tiles, the water at sink didnt run. The toilet holder was loose. Breakfast was a few minutes away but nobody spoke English. Overal it was ok but not worth this money. We stay in much better hotels for less.'

'Veronica gave us an extensive list of options to look at for visiting the local area, as first time visitors. You do have to carry your luggage up 1 1/2 flights of stairs. It is a good location for a 15 to 20 minute walk to Ortigia, which is a must visit. The bed was quite comfortable and the shower had plenty of room for a big man. It did take about one minute for the shower water to become hot. Parking is in short supply outside the building but a short walk to the train station provided...
