'The exterior looks a little rough, but step inside to 1952. We were happy we rented the Retro House for several reasons. It was clean and cozy, had neat decor, and had all the essentials anyone would need to be comfortable. 'Very nice and comfortable property. Home was a little older than expected, but served our group of three well. Beds were very comfy! 'Megan's (in-law suite) space is cozy, quiet, clean; just the right amount of space for me. The kitchenette is equipped with a coffee maker, air fryer, toaster and microwave - everything you need to make simple meals. I appreciated the washer & dryer. 'We had a wonderful stay and gave our experience 5 stars! There are a couple of suggestions: the top bunk was not super clean. My teenage girl would not sleep up there. The traffic from the construction going up the mountain was intense. A heads up would have been appreciated. But, if we have to be stopped for 45 minutes in a traffic line, glad it's in the beautiful mountains! Doggie bags for dog poop would be a good amenity. 'Best VRBO we’ve ever had. Lisa made sure the house has everything you need to have a very comfortable stay. Coffee beans were already in the espresso machine, beds were so comfortable, the towels were soft, even the blankets were high quality. The hot tub, pool table, outdoor games were in great condition. 'i was impressed. the pictures don't do it justice. it was perfect for my daughter and me. we really enjoyed the private cubby for reading and the hot tub under the stars. just what we needed. very relaxing. of all the (4) places we stayed this vacation, this was our favorite. idaho springs is a hidden gem. "The room was comfortable and spacious. Even though the hotel is close to the highway, there were no noise issues. The sink wouldn't drain properly. It turned out that the plug was completely clogged; I dragged it out and it was full of long hair that smelled extremely foul. Clearly this hadn't been cleaned for weeks. The breakfast was rather poor, but that appears to be the standard for this type of chain hotel in the US. Barely any fresh and healthy options. Instead, you get prepacked toast and muffins."
