'The staff and location were excellent. From the concierge, Jacqueline, and the rest of the staff the service was top-notch. The restaurant was excellent, and the deck had gorgeous view. I would recommend to anybody wanting to stay at a beautiful location.'
'This is not a typical hotel experience. First you are on the beach there are no concrete walkways around the property its all sand to stay with the natural part of being in the national park. Its very quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Things to note:
You do have to pay a small fee to enter the national park that fee is not part of the booking fee. I think it was 120 pesos aday

'We had a very nice time at El Paraiso Hotel de Tulum. It was located on a beautiful beach – although be aware of the season, lots of seaweed. So I don’t know if it’s just in the summer or what, but there was a lot of it. But once you stepped over the seaweed, the water was really pretty. The service was great-they answered all my questions and were able to recommend a snorkeling and cenote tour. Bring your bug spray and your sunscreen you will need both. '

'I love how this location is very private. It has its private entrance to the jaguar park area. You also have access to golf carts that take you around the area where you can visit the light house, the Mayan ruins and other beaches like Santa Fe. We had the ocean front villa #1. Ontvangst was hartelijk met een heerlijke cocktail.
De bar op het strand ging dicht om 18.00 maar er zijn genoeg gelegenheden in de buurt om te dineren.
Ook het ontbijt op het strand was prima en je zit er heerlijk met uitzicht op zee'

'Overall my experience at Habitas was bad. I booked this hotel for 7 nights and ended up leaving after 2. It was raining so hard that glamping was extremely uncomfortable and I was worried for my safety at night.
The check-in process was confusing, because I thought I had paid the full amount up front in February, but the taxes of 19% were to be paid at checkin. Expedia was unclear if the amount included taxes or not.
I arrived at night in the poring rain and the property has bad lighting....

'The hotel is just new and has all the potential for a great stay, but currently some of the little things just make it not a 5/5. "The place looks amazing. Only there are also a lot of things that could be better.
To start with the positive things:
+ Really nice park setting
+ Free water in the whole park (there are plenty of watertaps)
+ Near/at de beach
+ Clean shared bathrooms
+ No loud music and no noice during the night
+ Good lightning in de night to go to bathroom
Negative things or things that you should be aware of are:
-/- highly overpriced drinks and food (glas of wine 16 usd and beer 7 usd for example)
-/- some waiters only busy with getting tips instead of giving good an nice service
-/- no breakfast included. Its available for aroud 10 usd
-/- no shop at the camping or in the area for buying small food and drinks
-/- park entrance not included in de price of the accommodation. More than 20 usd a person and only valit for one day. So when you leave the National park to go to Tulum center for example, you have pay again!
-/- be aware that the beach front tents dont have beach view!!! Its better to book garden view. Aldo less noice from the ocean.

"When you enter the property; amazing! very beautiful. However if you market yourself as a family friendly hotel and you cannot offer hot water at night for a formule bottle, or any baby friendly food, im not very sure. The first we got with our 15 months old had a bathroom outside, without any closed of door. We asked for an upgrade (which we paid) as we thought it would have a bathtub. Seemed it was not connected but just put as decoration. Strange. Simply put; rooms were a bit too primitive for us. As couple I wouldn’t mind (still not my thing but okay can happen) but with a little one, don’t do it."
